Our Story
Timeless Treasures Nyack was founded in 2025 by Nyack High School student Reilly Maier after she received the $500 Jim Evers Memorial Grant for Intergenerational Projects. With mentorship from Nyack High School film and art teacher Ms. VanderMaas and support from Nyack Public Library, Reilly joined with student volunteers and local lifelong learners to launch a student-led intergenerational storytelling and documentary project.Students serve as interviewers, filmmakers, editors, and event hosts, while lifelong learners share experiences that spark conversation, friendship, and new understanding across generations. Together, participants preserve local voices on film and build the community connections at the heart of Timeless Treasures. As the program grows, new students, storytellers, volunteers, educators, and community partners are invited to join the next chapter.
